Miley Cyrus the Trainwreck

So yeah, it seems that like with Miley Cyrus’ album release the cry outs that Miley is a trainwreck are getting louder and louder. The girl is so out of control and has no idea what she’s doing and who knows what. That’s what the people think, that’s what the media says. I only have one question for them: Why?

As I gather it from the media right now, this is all based on only a few things. Main one being her clothing choices. Yes, she’s been wearing less lately, mainly on stage. I just don’t get how that would make someone a trainwreck, slut, bitch or whatever name people like to call her. While I myself voiced my worry about it a while ago (for a different reason) it actually has been somewhat removed by what Miley has been saying lately.

No, I still can’t say that I’m completely comfortable with the outfits, however she has spoken about it in the media now on several occasions. She’s comfortable with her body and feels comfortable wearing less in her casual outfits and what she does on stage is just an act, it’s part of her performance. I can live with that explanation as she in no way is telling kids to dress like her. On the contrary, what she’s doing right now is telling people to be themselves and not who other people tell them to be. I would say that that is a good message, not a bad one. That it is expressed by her in a way that is a bit risque, is unfortunate.

If you had run into Albert Einstein in public you probably would have thought “who is that weirdo?” yet he’s one of the greatest minds that ever lived. Now Miley isn’t anything like Albert Einstein (I think) but the principal still applies, people should be looking at her character and at her work not just at her wardrobe. I think if people would listen to Miley instead of looking at her, they’d draw very different conclusions about her.

Don’t even get me started about all the scandals around her out there. Sure, some of them might have some sort of foundation but it’s the way that they are blown way out of proportion and every little thing is blamed on her personally is just ridiculous. Do these scandals make a trainwreck? No, I’ve not seen any scandal surrounding her where she comes out of a nightclub stoned out of her mind or drunk. Does she show up for work late? Not that I know of, in fact when you look at how much she seems to be working, how would she have time for anything else? She describes herself as a workaholic.

It is horrible to see that there is one single person out there who is the main driving force behind this whole screw Miley endeavour. Like anyone has to guess, it of course it’s that Perez Hilton jackass. I don’t like people calling names but I’m willing to make an exception for that guy. I know I’m making a mistake by mentioning him here but it’s just getting too ridiculous and no one does something about it. He spreads hate towards Miley, he spreads falls stories about Miley, he posts fake pictures of Miley, he will do anything to make Miley look bad.

Can’t people criticize Miley? Of course they can, there however is a difference between criticism and blind hatred. Doesn’t matter how much a person says he loves Miley, when you act like that, there is no way anyone can explain to me how he loves Miley. Even if the blog and his gossip personality are only a job and he is Mario Lavandeira in real life, there is still something called being a human being. In that department Perez HIlton is failing with story after story hating on Miley.

I could go on the internet and start a gossip blog with the name Major Arsehole, write whatever I want about people I don’t really know. Thing is that I would still be the person writing the lies and the hate, I can honestly say that under no circumstances I would be able to do that “job”. In fact I just quit a job out of principle, if I wrote the crap that Perez wrote I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night. I just don’t get it, I want to be able to look myself in the mirror and see a decent human being.

Now the people who are being into all of this stuff are also interesting. People who judge her say that they don’t want their kids to see her because she’s such a bad person, trainwreck, slut or whatever. I really have to wonder how people raise their kids when they teach their kids to judge people purely by what they hear about them. Or judge them only by their clothes for that matter, I guess there is a very shallow generation of kids growing up right now, not to mention with a very foul vocabulary. That’s besides the whole using a celebrity to raise your kids thing that goes on at times.

Do I know Miley Cyrus personally? No I don’t and I don’t pretend to. That is however what a lot of those people are doing, they act like they now how she is a bad person. They however only focus on that one thing about her, the rest of the person Miley Cyurs? Who cares, she might be likeable so we’d better not risk it. Celebrities are all horrible human beings anyway, we don’t know them personally so it doesn’t matter that we spread hate and lies about them.

Do I know that everything will be fine with her in the future? Of course I don’t and I will not say that there will never be anything actual bad surrounding Miley, or that her future will be only filled with shiny, happy things. No one has any way of knowing that. Doesn’t change the fact that the current calling her a trainwreck is more a case of wishful thinking on the part of the gossip press and their followers than anything else. Shouldn’t people wish good things for other people instead of wishing them to go down a path of things like drugs and alcohol? That is something I will never understand.

So yeah, this is my way of venting against people who are far too shallow and don’t judge people the proper way. The fact that people will listen to anything the media tells them to is a worrying development in general, not only in celebrity journalism. Was it a good idea to give Perez Hilton that much attention? Probably not but sometimes you just can’t help yourself.

    100% agreed.
People are also only focusing bad energy on Miley. Has anyone cared to look at other teen stars, like Venessa Hudges? She posts nude photos. Miley has a pole on stage and now she’s going to be a pole dancer.

Hudgens didn’t post those pictures–they were probably stolen from her and leaked. But yeah, people should layoff Cyrus. The old female double standard, unfortunately perpetuated by a lot of women as well as men.
