Review: The Pretty Reckless

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

So The Pretty Reckless released an EP, I was actually sort of looking forward to it. I rather enjoy that Make Me Wanna Die song, made me think that Taylor Momsen is a better musician that people give her credit for. Now as said the EP which has the same name as the band, The Pretty Reckless. Now I know that an EP is supposed to be short but only four songs? Seems a bit too short for the time she seems to have been working on it. I don’t know when the first album is supposed to come out so I’m guessing it’s mostly meant to fill the void between Make Me Wanna Die being on the Kick-Ass sound track and their album release. Review: Can’t be Tamed

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

So here we are with a review for Miley Cyrus’ third album Can’t be Tamed, or is it her seventh? I’ve given op on counting those things, seeing some are under Hannah Montana and some ar not. Fact is that she recorded seven full albums and an E.P. And yes, she’s still only seventeen. Anyway, to get any confusion out of the way, this album is pop. Review: The Listening

So why am I reviewing an album that came out last October in the US (September in Canada)? Well, it’s my site so I can do whatever I want (within a legal realm). Next question would be why am I review an album from a 22 year old Canadian? She’s hardly a starlet but she falls in the age category of the people on this site, so if I want to review her I will. I also have to admit that I had no idea who she was until a couple of weeks ago. It involves buying Owl City and finding out she’s the opening act but I’m not going to bore anyone with the details. Review: Break Up

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

BreakUpThis thing snuck up on me a bit, I had no idea that Scarlett Johansson was releasing another album. So this was actually released a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, back in 2006 she recorded an album together wither singer/songwriter Pete Yorn and they now released that album. It has to be pointed out that Scarlett is on the album as a singer, all but one song on the album were written by Pete Yorn. Can’t say that I ever heard Scarlett Johansson talk about ambition as a song writer in any interview anyway. (more…)
