Who is the Biggest Disney Star?

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

It’s in the media, around the internet, it’s everywhere. The constant debate of who is the bigger and better Disney star, is it Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato? Lets find out.

What can we compare them on? All three of them are active in the same segments of entertainment really, they each have their own Disney Channel show, they have a record deal with Hollywood Records and they do movies. So it should be quite easy to compare them on things, also included will be things like awards of course seeing that is everything the entertainment industry revolves around. We’ll even include some less obvious categories towards the end but we have to be thorough. Points will be awarded, 5 points for a victory, 3 points for a second place and 1 point for the last place. Rising Starlets 2009

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

So I have this opinion on all sorts of lists that keep showing up around the internet. They are all pointless, who is best? That is something people usually make up for themselves, you can’t exactly be told who is best by some random person. That still is a personal opinion from that single person. Here I’m talking about all the blogs and sites that make random lists, usually not consulting any kind of vote though those are quite pointless as well. So what to do, those lists will keep showing up around the internet.

Simple enough solution, here is the annual list of rising starlets so now the 2009 edition. So young actresses and musicians in Hollywood who I feel have done the most improvement in their career rated by projects, popularity etc. Yes, it is full of my opinion so no one can tell me I’m wrong. Here we go. (more…)

Review: Here We Go Again

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

Demi_lovato_here_we_go_again_coverDemi Lovato released her second album this week titled Here We Go Again. First good news is that the Jonas Brothers influence is heavily reduced on this album. Nothing bad about the Jonas Brothers but Demi needs to find her own sound. With around 47 minutes this is an average length album and just proof that record companies have forgotten that a CD holds 80 minutes of music. Makes you especially wonder when a John Mayer song is left off the album and they stick the rather short Sonny With a Chance intro on there. (more…)

Edition 59: Rising Starlets 2008

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Welcome back to the only celebrity ranking list that truly matters (to us anyway seeing we made it). It’s the most realistic one you’ll find on the internet seeing it was decided by as little people as possible. We don’t ask millions of people for their opinion so that people can vote over and over again for the same person.

The list is based on who we think is the starlet in Hollywood that had the most development in her career. We also look at what projects they have ahead of them and if those will help them to improve their careers.

Review: Don’t Forget

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

dont-forget-demi-lovatoDemi Lovato has dropped her first album called Don’t Forget. There are a total of eleven songs on the album totaling about 38 minutes but my problem with far too short albums is already known; everyone does it anyway. A large portion of the album was co-written by the Jonas Brothers who Demi was opening for on their tour and of course also knew from Camp Rock. Her reason for doing this is that she says that songs written by her wouldn’t be Disney material; she’s more into metal. (more…)
